An Introduction to Para Dressage
Para dressage is an equestrian sport that allows individuals with impairments the opportunity to train and compete their horses to execute patterns of movements. In para sport, the prefix "para" refers to parallel; that is, para dressage is parallel to dressage. The main difference between para dressage and dressage is the degree of difficulty of the patterns. Technical ability and the correct training of horse and athlete are rewarded in para dressage, as they are in dressage.
If you are a rider, athlete, instructor, coach, parent, guardian, official, supporter, or member of the general public and have wanted to know more about the sport of para dressage, then this module is for you!
