Registration Deadline: September 1st, 2025.
Successful completion of this officials’ clinic is required as part of the Equestrian Canada Eventing Course Designer and Technical Delegate promotion requirements and Course Designer maintenance requirements. Attendees must participate in the clinic in its entirety to receive clinic credit.
This course is open to Equestrian Canada Licensed Eventing officials and applicants, coaches and riders.

Clinic Registrants from out of province will need to fly into Calgary International Airport or Edmonton International Airport and rent a car to drive to Red Deer County. Drive time is approx 90 minutes from either airport
Clinic Format
Instruction will include classroom discussion and outdoor learning sessions. **PLEASE dress professionally and appropriately for the weather**
Schedule
A detailed schedule will be sent to registered participants after the registration deadline.
9:00am - 5:00pm MST both days.
Registration and Attendance
· Registration for this clinic is on a first come, first served basis. Please complete this online registration in advance of the September 1, 2025 deadline.
· If you are using this clinic for promotion, be sure to advise EC Officials department upon registration.
· Emails will be sent to registered participants after the registration deadline with schedule and links.
· Attendance is taken at the beginning of each day.
· All clinic days must be attended in their entirety to receive full credit.
Participant Attendance Purposes/Restrictions
- Maintenance for Level 1 and 2 Eventing CDs (cannot be used by Level 3 Eventing CDs for maintenance)
- Fulfilling application requirements for a new Level 1 Eventing CD
- Promotion from Level 1 to Level 2 Eventing CD (cannot be used for promotion from Level 2 to Level 3)
- Fulfilling the requirement for Eventing TDs to complete a CD theory course
Accommodations
DAYS INN #1000-5001 19 St; Red Deer, AB ; A block of rooms will be held until September 1, 2025 for a reduced rate of $104/night. This cost is covered by the registrant. Please call the hotel, directly, to book your room. (403)340-3297 Tell them you are with Alberta Horse Trials and that there are a block of rooms being held for Oct 3-5. After September 1, we can not guarantee that a room will be available at this hotel.
Meals
Hot lunch provided each day with your registration fee. Includes coffee/tea/baked goods.

$375.00 CAD - Registration is not complete until payment has been received.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a clinic and notifies Alberta Horse Trials of withdrawal in writing at least 14 days prior to the start of clinic, 50% of the clinic fee will be refunded. If a participant withdraws from a clinic and is replaced from a waitlist, a full refund will be provided minus a $25 processing fee. If a participant withdraws from the clinic with less than 14 days’ notice, the clinic fee is non-refundable regardless of waitlist status. Email the withdrawal notice to ahtahighperformance@gmail.com
